2026 has been a busy year with performances at the Slamovision qualifier in Dublin in May, at the Darby Ryan festival in Bansha, Tipperary in August and with more to come.

Delighted to have made it into Poetry Ireland Review (Issue 149), with The Edge. This performance was at a Circle Sessions Event at the International Bar in Dublin's Wicklow Street.

Spoken Word 2025

In July and November 2025, Aidan performed at a number of open mic events in Dublin.

A Chaplet of Small Blessings was shortlisted for the 2026 Bournemouth Writing Prize and published in the Bournemouth Prize Anthology as Small Litany of Thanks and Praise. I performed it at the 1916 CPAC in Dublin in Nov 2025.

Neuron Count was shortlisted in the Plough Arts Centre Poetry Prize, highly commended in the Morecambe Poetry Festival Competition and won a top six prize in the New Writers Poetry Competition 2025. This performance was at a Circle Sessions event in the International Bar in Dublin's Wicklow Street in July.

The Plant featured in the Slipstream Poets Competition (highly commended) and Ware Poets Competition (commended) and won 3rd prize in the Waterford Poetry Prize Competition 2024 but didn't get its first live outing until November 2025 at a Words by the Sea event at Walters in Dun Laoghaire.

Mutatis Mutandis was highly commended in the Goldsmith Festival Poetry Competition. The reading was at Pallas Co. Longford in June 2024.
